More about our North Fork Barn

Built in 1937, the Naugles Barn has been restored for use as an event venue while retaining its historic character. There is room for caterers, entertainment, modern electric service, and an open floor plan that allows for various table sizes, setups, bands, and DJs. At 1,500 square feet, smaller functions can be accommodated directly in the barn while the use of a tent supplements the barn for larger events. The Naugles Barn has been featured in Style Me Pretty,  Rustic Wedding Chic, TLC’s “Secret Wedding” show, Edible East End, and Well Wed Magazine and is the perfect choice for people seeking an authentic and memorable event experience. In addition to the photo galleries linked at the right, Anchor and Lace (formerly Alexis Stein Photography), Caroline Rocchetta Photography, Sherry Pickerell Photography, and  Moho Creative are just a few of the professional photographers and videographers who have worked here.

Fees

Please contact us for more information at 631.298.5292 for our 2022/2023/2024 rates.

All fees directly support the not-for-profit mission of Hallockville Museum Farm and the upkeep of 19 historic buildings here on the 28-acre museum campus.

All visits to the Naugles Barn must be scheduled in advance. We can not accommodate walk-ins, often due to other events already taking place in the barn. We strive to provide a private atmosphere for all of our event clients and ask that you get in touch a few days in advance to schedule your appointment.

The Fine Print & General Policies

All photo shoots must receive prior permission from the museum before taking place. Call us at 631-298-5292 to discuss your event. Suggested Engagement Photoshoot fee: $250.00

Only one event can be accommodated in the Naugles Barn at a time and availability is subject to Hallockville’s public event schedule. Please call or email to discuss your specific date. A site fee is provided in person during your scheduled visit or over the phone once we have had a chance to discuss the particulars of your event. A non-refundable $1,000 site fee deposit is required for contract signing, along with an additional security deposit. The balance of the rental fee is due in installments leading up to your event date. The security deposit, less any costs subtracted to cover damage or other losses to the facility, will be returned promptly after the event.

All renters must obtain a Comprehensive General Liability policy that names Hallockville as an Additional Insured with coverage limits specified in the contract agreement between Hallockville and the renter. The renter will provide a Certificate of Insurance at least 30 days prior to the event. The renter’s caterer will also need to provide a Certificate of Insurance.

Self-service of alcoholic beverages is not permitted. Only fully insured caterers or beverage vendors with a liquor license from the NYS Liquor Authority, are permitted to bring and serve alcoholic beverages on site. At your event, all alcoholic beverages must be served by a professionally-trained and TIPS and/or ATAP-certified bartender.

The renter is responsible for obtaining any other permits (e. g., tent) that are required for the event. The museum is located in Riverhead Town, which does require the filing of tent permits through its Fire Marshal’s office.
