Join The Old Mill Inn and Hallockville Museum Farm to celebrate the history of Prohibition on the North Fork
We will begin the evening in the Historic Naugles Barn, rumored to be built with rum-running profits. There, Historian Amy Folk, author of Rumrunning in Suffolk County: Tales from Liquor Island will dive into how the North Fork was a perfect spot for smuggling alcohol. Twin Stills Distillery will explore the distilling process and offer samples.
Then head to The Old Mill Inn for passed period canapès and an option of three Prohibition era cocktails. Jazz music will play as you step back in history to the thrilling yet scandalous times of Prohibition in the very spot where it all happened.
