Join instructor, Vivien Pollack, to learn how to change fabric into a beautiful piece of art! This class will include two different methods of silk painting! You will paint a 12″ x 12″, piece and also come home with a hand-painted silk scarf you painted yourself. Learn silk painting techniques using salt and alcohol. Then you will go on to paint a 11″ x 60″ silk scarf using a design of your choice. Silk painting produces beautiful results; no previous art background necessary! For experienced artists, this is an exciting new medium to explore which allows creative freedom.

Materials included: silk, silk scarf and dyes.

Students: wear appropriate clothes or bring a smock, the silk dyes will stain clothes. Also, bring watercolor brushes if you have them and a large water jar and protective gloves.
