There’s a new State Park next door to Hallockville Museum Farm — join us for a guided nature walk! The recently-opened Hallock State Park Preserve offers beautiful fields, woodland trails, Hallock Pond and beachfront on the Long Island Sound, all perfectly suited for nature exploration. Naturalist John Turner and local guide Richard Wines will lead you to point out migrating birds, animal tracks, woodland flora and more. You will also hear about the conservation of the parkland and the adjacent farm field — over 529 acres in total. This newly completed trail system is the perfect place to celebrate National Public Lands Day!
This event is co-sponsored by Peconic Land Trust.
$8/car State Park Fee or park at Hallockville for free and hike into the park. Reservations requested, rain cancels.
